General William Sherman lead a march attack to scare the local confederate citizens. Sherman, among with ruffle 60,000 union soldiers went from Atlanta Georgia, to Savannah Georgia. This 285 mile march was known as Sherman's March to the Sea. This long march went from November 15th to December 21st 1864. They killed live stock, burned plantation, and destroyed local factories.
