Hadrian was a Roman emperor who ruled between 117 CE - 138 CE. He was born in 76 CE in Italica. Hadrian started off serving Emperor Nerva in the military at age 14. He would later become emperor, succeeding Emperor Trajan. As he came into power, he would immediately have a huge impact on the Roman military and infrastructure. He was so devoted to his soldiers that he would eat and sleep with them. A couple years into his reign, he would build Hadrian's Wall, which acted as a border in Roman Britain.
