Some you'll use a Pokeball to catch, others a Great Ball or an Ultra Ball. You will run into a few rare Pokemon and even a couple legendary Pokemon. You might catch them or not, but no matter what, you save your Master Ball. Save it for that one Pokemon, the one that is truly legendary.
