Harvest crops - usually large areas of grain - a lot more efficiently than a person doing it on their own with scythes. Bonus! More crops were able to be planted as a result of crops being harvested more efficiently.

Attack 2 : Horse Power
Give the farmer some slack and let the horse do all the physical work. A horse will pull the Mechanical Reaper across the fields of crops, letting the farmer just walk beside it and stack the wheat stalks into pile.
