Comments : The scientific name of Salmonella is Salmonella Enterica. It is most commenly contracted from eating contaminated eggs which can be found in raw cookie dough. It is also found in poultry. The symptoms are vomiting and diarrhea. The mortality rate is very low at less than one percent and is only deadly to infants or older adults. There is no vaccine for this virus yet. The most common treatment for salmonella is rehydration. A fun fact about this disease is that it can be contracted from eating raw cookie dough.
